Richard is a managing partner and founder of Olimpia Partners. Richard has over 35 years of banking experience and along his career Richard has been involved in numerous transactions having participated in the origination and execution of mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, equity and debt offerings across multiple industries and sectors. Prior to founding Olimpia Partners, Richard was the Country Head for Merrill Lynch in Brazil and was responsible for the Investment Banking division. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Richard was a senior executive at Banco Multiplic and at Morgan Grenfell & Co. Richard obtained his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York and completed his MBA at Fordham University.
Maurice has over 30 years of experience in investment banking, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, corporate divestitures, capital raising, recapitalizations and other corporate finance transactions. Prior to joining Olimpia Partners, Maurice was a senior banker and head of investment banking for Latin America at Deutsche Bank in New York. Before joining Deutsche, Maurice was co-head of the Los Angeles office at UBS and head of the western region financial services advisory at Morgan Stanley. Earlier in his career, Maurice was chairman of the Latin America division and head of Latin America investment banking at Merrill Lynch. Maurice received his MBA and BA in Finance from Case Western Reserve University, Weatherhead School of Management and Cleveland State University, respectively.
Irajá has over 20 years of experience in investment banking, having participated in numerous transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, buy-outs, debt and equity offerings across several industries. Prior to joining Olimpia Partners, Irajá was an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley in Brazil. Previously, Irajá spent 9 years at Merrill Lynch, during which he spent time both in São Paulo and New York. Irajá began his career as a Corporate Credit Analyst at Citibank. Irajá holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidade de São Paulo (USP).
Thomas is a partner at Olimpia Partners since 2009 and is co-head of Olimpia Tech, exclusive division focused on technology and innovation at Olimpia Partners. Thomas has extensive experience in banking, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, late-stage fundraising, corporate divestitures, corporate ventures, buy-outs and debt and equity financing. Previously, Thomas was a member of the Investment Banking group of Merrill Lynch in São Paulo, where he participated in mergers, acquisitions, and equity and debt offerings across different sectors. Thomas began his career at the mergers and acquisitions group of Banco Espírito Santo. Thomas holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Insper.
Tarcisio is a partner and co-head of Olimpia Tech, exclusive division focused on technology and innovation at Olimpia Partners. He has over 15 years of experience in finance and investment banking, having served as senior executive at Brazilian publicly-traded companies as well as many years as M&A advisor at Olimpia Partners working on deals across a variety of sectors. Prior to joining Olimpia, Tarcisio was responsible for corporate treasury and structured operations at SOMOS Educação (former BVMF: SEDU3) and Cogna (BVMF: COGN3), where he led several debt capital market and M&A transactions. He also acted as director of strategic planning and investor relations at Ceagro Agrícola. Tarcisio began his career at Olimpia Partners and holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Insper.
Victor has extensive experience in merger and acquisitions having participated in the execution of several transactions across multiple sectors. Victor joined Olimpia Partners in 2013. Prior to joining Olimpia Partners, Victor worked at Credit Suisse in the credit risk management department. Victor holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp).
Sara Rezende has over 15 years of experience in finance and investment banking. She began her career in Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch and BTG Pactual, participating in mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions. Sara also acted as Financial and Planning Director at Brasil Pharma and Controller at Shopping Uberaba. Sara Rezende has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV-SP).
Pedro has over 10 years of experience working with finance. He works closely with clients and execution teams on live transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, strategic advisory, and financings across various industries. Prior to joining Olimpia Partners, Pedro Farias had over 7 years of auditing and consulting experience working with large companies across Latin America. Pedro has a degree in Business Administration from Universidade Salvador (UNIFACS) and an MBA in Finance from Carnegie Mellon University. Pedro is a FINRA Investment Banking Representative in the US.
Vitor has participated in the execution of mergers and acquisitions across sectors and actively works in all transaction stages through market research, valuations and the production of presentations and materials. Prior to joining Olimpia Partners, Vitor worked at BTG Pactual. Vitor holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering from Escola Politécnica USP.
Ricardo has participated in the execution of mergers and acquisitions across sectors and actively works in all transaction stages through market research, valuations and the production of presentations and materials. Ricardo holds a bachelor's degree in Business from Fundação Getulio Vargas (EAESP).
Pedro joined Olimpia Partners in 2021, being involved in the execution of several transactions across multiple segments. Prior to joining Olimpia Partners, Pedro worked at Itaú. Pedro holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering from UFABC.
Nicolas joined Olimpia Partners in 2021, having participated in the execution of mergers and acquisitions in various industries, and consistently played an active role throughout the transaction process by conducting market research, performing valuations, and creating presentations and materials. Nicolas holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidade de São Paulo (USP).
Marcelo is a lawyer and has worked for Demarest Advogados and Santos Neto Advogados focused on litigation and arbitration, finance, capital markets, contracts and agribusiness. Marcelo was also a partner at Jive Investments working for the asset management group focused on distressed assets and funds. More recently, Marcelo was a partner at Aspen Capital responsible for investments, debt structuring, strategic advisory and legal.
Marcelo holds a law degree from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and post-graduate degree in corporate management.
Eduardo has experience working for investment banks and asset managers in the US and Brazil, including UBS Investment Bank and BroadStreet Capital Partners in New York, and TRX Investimentos and Olimpia Partners in Brazil.
Eduardo has structured over USD 10 billion in credit transactions and liability management deals in Latin America and the US, and raised and managed over R$ 500 million in credit funds.
Eduardo holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo.
