Acquisition of Corsan by Aegea

• On December 20th, 2022, Companhia Riograndense de Saneamento (“Corsan”) was auctioned at B3, São Paulo’s stock exchange. The Aegea Consortium was the winner of the dispute with an offer of R$ 4.15 billion
– The Aegea Consortium is led by Aegea with Perfin and Kinea Investimentos as co-investors
– The transaction involves the acquisition of 99.5% Corsan’s shares
– With the transaction, Aegea will promote the investments required to achieve the universalization of sanitation services targets by 2033 in all municipalities served by Corsan - targets established by the new regulatory framework of the sector
– This is the first privatization of a state-owned sanitation company in Brazil, and the goal is to ensure compliance with the new legal framework for basic sanitation in Brazil
• With the acquisition of Corsan, Aegea will operate in 489 municipalities in Brazil distributed in 13 states, providing water and wastewater services to more than 30 million people
– Aegea currently operates in the State of Rio Grande do Sul with a public-private partnership which provides wastewater services to more than 1.6 million people in 9 cities in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre
