November 2020• In November 2020, Brasil Bio Fuels S.A. (“BBF”) completed the acquisition of 100% of Biopalma S.A. (“Biopalma”)
– The transaction consolidates BBF's integrated business model, adding 56k ha of planted area and 2 crushing facilities in the state of Pará to its portfolio securing fuel supply for all its current and future power generation needs
– Biopalma was acquired from Vale, a multinational publicly traded Brazilian company engaged in metals and mining
• Founded in 2007, Biopalma is Brazil’s largest palm oil producer, with operations in the Vale do Acará and Baixo Tocantins regions (State of Pará)
– In December 2019, Biopalma’s planted area totaled 63 thousand of hectares: 56 thousand hectares on Biopalma land and 7 thousand hectare on third party land operated by families (family agriculture program)
• Founded in 2008, BBF is a Brazilian fully integrated bioenergy producer, with palm production and oil processing, biofuel production and power generation
